Mineral Kit for Outreach Program

A quality Rock & Mineral Kit is a core aspect of any geology outreach program. Our outreach program kits come with: 1) box of 10 minerals, 2) 9 types of rock,  3) 3 fossils, 4) magnifying glass, 5) geology book, 6) rock and mineral book, 7) fossil book, and various instruction material for teachers.  Most of the rocks and minerals were found right here in Arizona by our dedicated volunteer group. Teachers can go to the Mindat URLs for additional information for detailed information on each mineral.   The teacher kits greatly improve teaching geology in the classroom by providing a hands on experience.

Besides the two boxes of rock & mineral samples the kit contains a magnifying glass, a mineral book, a geology book, a fossil book, and all the mineral ID tags.  The kit also contains several documents to help the teacher instruct the course.    In addition this site contains useful material that may be used during the class, such as the Arizona map with rock locations, the... + details
