Education as a Core Mission

Prior to the museum’s official opening, the Earth Science Museum plans to build a high-impact education program in partnership with other museums, universities and mineral sites throughout the region. The museum’s goal is to create exciting, interactive learning opportunities for K–12 students and teachers, college students, and life-long learners, providing them new ways to encounter compelling narratives on Earth science. The Earth Science Museum's pilot educational programs will include Week-long summer institutes for Arizona teachers aligned with State curriculum frameworks and the Museum’s gallery themes, created in partnership with National Science Curriculum study.
